Hey, I’m Crystal Cottrill, the founder of Dopamine Alley. If you’ve wondered who’s behind this little corner of the internet, it’s me—with T’Challa “Tay” and Katara “Tara” providing supervision nobody requested.
Who I am
By day, I work in customer success and support leadership. Apparently, solving problems all day wasn’t enough, so I built a jewelry shop. Sensible? Debatable. Fun? Absolutely.
I love a bold accessory, a little humor, and the kind of beauty that makes an ordinary day feel more like your own. Outside the Alley, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors, camping, and sharing far too much personal space with two 80-pound dogs.
What we do here
Dopamine Alley is a small, independently run jewelry shop based in Virginia, operated by Hollow & Alley, LLC. I curate pieces with personality: statement jewelry, bold color, gothic details, western influences, and vintage-inspired charm.
Some days call for sterling silver and a beautiful stone. Others call for pink sparkle with absolutely no intention of behaving. The point is to find something that feels like you.
I select jewelry from our suppliers rather than making every piece myself. Materials differ across the collection, so check each listing for the details—sterling silver, gold-filled, bronze, and fashion finishes each deserve an accurate description.
Why buy your jewelry from me?
- A point of view. I’m choosing pieces for people who still want to have fun getting dressed. Growing older does not require retiring your personality.
- A person behind your purchase. I personally run the shop, manage orders, and handle customer questions. When you need help, I’m your point of contact.
- Clear expectations. I want you to understand what you’re buying, including the materials, dimensions, and options in each listing. If something is unclear, ask me.
- Room for a little joy. Jewelry can mark a milestone, finish an outfit, or simply make a Tuesday less Tuesday. It doesn’t need a grand occasion.

Our jewelry ships directly from our supplier partners. I manage the shop and your customer experience, including questions about your order and help if something goes wrong. Shipping and processing details can vary by product; please review the listing and store policies before purchasing.

Meet the deeply unqualified management team
Tay is my Lab–Husky mix, adopted in 2018 and named by my son after Black Panther. Calm, curious, and occasionally sassy, he considers camping and any available body of water excellent business decisions.
Tara is my Great Dane, born in 2024 and named for Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender. She follows me and my niece everywhere, talks back, and believes “giant lapdog” is a perfectly reasonable job description.
They don’t pack orders or answer emails. They do bring me an enormous amount of joy—and occasionally bruises.
